DRIVING

From I-26, Hendersonville, NC area
From I-26 East (actually driving south at this point)
• Take exit 49-B on US 64 West into Hendersonville. Continue for 2.3 miles.
• Turn left on South Business 25 (Church Street) and drive nine blocks.
• Turn right on Kanuga Street and continue for 3.75 miles.
• Watch for the brown Kanuga Conferences sign and turn right on Kanuga Lake Rd.
To Kanuga Conference Center Main Lobby
• Follow Kanuga Lake Road for approximately 1.25 miles (go past Camp Kanuga).
• Turn right on Kanuga Chapel Drive.
• Continue past the tennis courts to the first paved parking lot on the left (approximately 1/2 mile).
• The Main Lobby is to the left of the Bookstore.

From I-26 West (actually driving north at this point)
• Can take exit 49-A to US-64 West, and follow directions above.
♣ OR,
• Take exit 53 Upward Road.
• Turn left on Upward Road (this will become Highland Lake Road) and proceed until the road ends.
• Turn left on NC 225 South (Greenville Highway).
• At the traffic light, turn right on Little River Road and continue until the road ends.
• Turn right on Kanuga Road.
• Make an immediate left onto Kanuga Lake Road...
To Kanuga Conference Center Main Lobby
• Follow Kanuga Lake Road for approximately 1.25 miles (go past Camp Kanuga).
• Turn right on Kanuga Chapel Drive.

AIR:

Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), located thirty minutes from Kanuga, offers jet and commuter service on US Airways, Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines, with daily nonstop service to Charlotte, Atlanta, Cincinnati, New York and other major hubs.

Workshop registration at Kanuga begins at 1:30 pm on Sunday; and the end of the workshop week is Friday morning following breakfast (or Sunday morning following breakfast for the extended weekend session). Flight schedules should be made accordingly, and to best fit your own requirements.

For travel from the west coast, you may want to arrive on Saturday since it takes all day to get there, and stay Saturday night at one of the motels by the airport (see attached list of motels). These motels have shuttle service from the airport.

For those arriving at the airport and/or staying at one of the motels located by the airport, we can arrange shuttle service for you to Kanuga on Sunday, and return trip to the airport at the end of the workshops. Those requesting shuttle service to Kanuga will need to provide their flight schedule to us so that we can schedule the shuttle service.

ASHEVILLE AIRPORT MOTELS:

Please Note: If making reservations through any of these motel’s central reservations centers (800- numbers), please make sure you are requesting the motel at the airport, NOT in Asheville (the shuttle service will not be able to pick you up if you are in Asheville).

SHIPPING TO KANUGA:

You can ship your materials to Kanuga prior to the workshop. Please send your shipment via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL so it will arrive during the week prior to the workshop. Please make sure your name is on the box so we can deliver it directly to your classroom.

Return Shipment:

You may also ship your materials / paintings home from Kanuga. You will need to pack your own box at the end of the workshop week. We will get it from the class room to the Kanuga offices and they will ship it for you (your choice of carrier), and then send you the billing for the shipment.
