REGARDING THE COVID 19 VIRUS:
Over the last several months, we have all prayed, held our breath, and crossed our fingers that this devastating pandemic would be gone (or at least under control) by Spring of 2021. It has become clear that will not be the case. Although the vaccine was developed with historic speed, it doesn't look like enough doses will be available to the general public until Spring or early Summer. Mask use will undoubtedly be encouraged or mandated for several months even after that. Our artists come from throughout the United States as well as 4 or 5 other countries and we will not put on the workshops unless we feel confident that our creative "family" is going to be safe. For these reasons, we have decided to cancel the 2021 workshops. As with 2020, this was a very difficult decision. We know for many of you, this will be a huge disappointment, but your health, the health of our instructors, and the Kanuga staff has to be our number one concern. Please stay tuned for more info. In the meantime, stay safe, wear a mask, and go paint! We are now celebrating the 36th year of Kanuga Watermedia Workshops! Kanuga Watermedia Workshops is known for its eclectic, A-list Watermedia workshops taught by the world’s most respected artists. This event is held every spring at the Kanuga Conference Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The workshops offer each student a choice of eleven instructors, independent study or open studio. Our award-winning instructors have been chosen for their ability to help painters develop and advance their skills. Painting is always a learning experience. Our goal is to help painters sharpen their critical awareness and discover painting gratification. All levels of painters are invited. Join the fun. Make new friends. Take in the beauty. |
